OSTEOPATHS Needed in Alberta & British Columbia (CANADA)

ATTENTION HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

The recently released Canadian manual osteopathy job analysis (2013) report by the Council on Manual Osteopathy Association indicates a severe shortage of manual osteopaths in the provinces of Alberta & British Columbia in Canada.

Any health practitioner interested in working in Canada should consider postgraduate training in osteopathy. You find employment right away in a rehab clinic, or you can open your own clinic. Pay starts at $30 per hour and the average income is $90,000 per year. Over 95% of insurers in these provinces reimburse for osteopathic care.

Osteopathy complements massage therapy, acupuncture, naturopathy, homeopathy and physiotherapy very well. Patients love it and would appreciate you providing osteopathy in addition to your main profession.

We want patients in every corner of Alberta British Columbia have access to osteopathic care and we need your help to bring osteopathy to them. Enroll in one of our nine degree programs to study osteopathy with the largest provider of osteopathic education in the world. We teach manual osteopathy (no surgery, no medications) in 65 cities in 35 countries.

National University of Medical Sciences offers 30 degrees; including 9 in osteopathy (BSc, MA, MSc, PhD, DO). NUMSS tuition is kept low at 1500 EURO per semester to make osteopathic education affordable to students worldwide.

Health professionals such as physiotherapists, physicians, massage therapists, occupational therapists, acupuncturists, homeopaths,  and naturopaths may enroll in our accelerated program and finish the 3 years full time bachelor of science in osteopathy in only 6 months, or complete the 4 years Doctor of Osteopathy degree program in just 1 year.

NUMSS is fully accredited by the British Columbia College of Osteopathic Rehabilitation Sciences, Alberta College of Osteopathic Rehabilitation Sciences, Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board, International Osteopathic Association, Council on Manual Osteopathy Education, and many other organizations.

Our sister school, National Academy of Osteopathy (www.nationalacademyofosteopathy.com) offers an accelerated 4 months program for health practitioners in osteopathic manual practice. Tuition for the NAO diploma in osteopathic manual practice (DOMP) program for health practitioners is $5026 (Canadian).

Our osteopathy programs are World Health Organization (WHO) compliant and our graduates, upon successful passing of the board exams are eligible to receive license numbers to bill insurers in BC and Alberta.

There is zero unemployment in manual osteopathy. All our graduates find employment. The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) has chosen manual osteopathy as one of the top 25 occupations in demand in Canada.

    1. You need a work visa to work in Canada. And to get that you must secure employment and ask the employer to complete the appropriate forms for you. Many rehab clinics here are looking for manual osteopaths. You can search the Yellow Pages or Google them in the town you are interested and then contact them. directly.

  4. Chiropractic stimulates the release of endorphins and enkephalins (pain killing chemicals) as well as adenosine (a natural pain killer with anti-inflammatory properties). By using chiropractic toronto methods that stimulate distal treatment points (ie-away from painful areas), we can achieve results without causing any additional discomfort in the shoulder.
