A Post From a Student in Brampton, Onrtario

Here is a post from nurse, natural health practitioner & manual osteopath Dr Meddrick Polluck (from Brampton, Ontario, Canada), a graduate of National Academy of Osteopathy who is also a student of the online DO (doctor of osteopathy) program of National University of Medical Sciences (Spain):

Ever since Manual Osteopathy was revived and brought back to the forefront by Dr. Shahin Pourgol, all Manual Osteopaths must honor him for the great contributions he has made and the struggles he has endured to keep manual osteopathy alive and to bring Manual Osteopathy to us in a new light.

Dr. Pourgol went as far as founding the World Osteopathy Day. I believe we should not allow this day to go by every year unanswered, in other words we should utilize this day to the maximum for the support and recognition of Manual Osteopathy. Therefore, let us hold this day in the highest regard and magnify it while making it our resolve to plan events to commence on June 22, 2018.

A Fun Graduation Day

Graduation day was so much fun! I do hope to repeat it many more times!

A Gift from a Champion

A big thank you to my student from Halifax, manual osteopath Jodi Livingston, DOMP for bringing me such a valuable gift. I am grateful. It is an interesting book and I enjoy reading it.

Jodi is a fitness and body building champion in Canada and one of the best fitness coaches in Canada with over 250 clients. I am proud of her. It makes me so happy when I see students use their talents to help others.

Did you know we introduced osteopathy to Bermuda?

I recommend to my students to see the world and work in different countries before settling down. The world is so beautiful and there are so many exotic exciting places to see.

Early in the morning at 3AM when I wake up to do work, I see posts from some of my students that make me so happy. Through them I get to travel everyday to exotic places.

This morning I saw a post by Thomas Andrew, RMT, DOMP, DO, a Canadian registered massage therapist & osteopath who practices in Bermuda. Dr Andrew is a graduate of National Academy of Osteopathy & National University of Medical Sciences (Spain).

He has been quite active in introducing osteopathy to the people of Bermuda, having radio shows there.

Dr Andrew works at the La Serena Spa at the Reefs Hotel in Bermuda. He charges $400 for 90 minutes of osteopathic care.

I am so proud of him. These students are the osteopathy ambassadors that bring this beautiful miraculous profession to millions of patients worldwide.

Thank you Dr Thomas Andrew for being a great representative of osteopathy in Bermuda.

NAO Cookies!

This is the first time I have ever seen National Academy of Osteopathy cookies!

Thanks to registered massage therapist & manual osteopath Rachel Orr, RMT, DOMP, one of our top students who brought us these cookies with NAO logo for all NAO staff on the graduation day yesterday (her sister baked these cookies, and my compliment to the chef as they were heavenly delicious!)

We love Rachel, we love her positive energy and we are grateful for everything she does for us.

Even though I do not eat sugar I made an exemption in this case and already ate a few cookies! How could I not eat cookies with NAO logo? It would be a sin! (But I did 30 minutes of extra cardio on the elliptical machine today to burn the extra calories :)

Graduation Day - Toronto - August 26, 2017
