I am happy to announce that in the Summer of 2018 a private bill will be presented to the Ontario Parliament to recognize June 22nd as the official World Osteopathy Day.
I have founded the World Osteopathy in 2012. I chose June 22nd because this is the day osteopathy was founded by Dr Still.

Billionaire & wife found dead yesterday in North York
Barry Sherman, founder of Apotex Pharmaceutical and his wife were found dead yesterday at their home in North York.
Over 28 years ago I used to work for two summers at Apotex as a co-op student in their quality control lab.
I remember Barry driving a convertible Mazda Miata with "Apotex" as license plate in 1989. He was always so polite, saying hello to everyone and coming to work everyday.
When I used to work there, Apotex was a million dollar company with one location. Now they have many locations. He elevated it to a billion dollar company. His own wealth was $4.5 billions as of yesterday. Yet he still lived in his house in North York that he purchased for $400,000 in 1986.
Barry was the youngest engineering student at University of Toronto (he got in at the age of 16). After graduation he bought his uncle's lab and then sold a few years later and started Apotex in 1970s.

Where else in the world?
Where else in the world you can find a deer in your backyard while studying manual osteopathy?
Canada is so beautiful, so incredible, and so natural! It is the heaven on earth!
Are you a team manual osteopath yet for the Toronto Football Club?
Last week, for the first time in history Toronto Football Club (TFC) became the #1 champion of North America by beating Seattle!
I remember when TFC was formed and it was doing so bad for so many years. It is amazing how they improved so much to become the 2017 MLS champion!
I gave a lecture as part of my business lectures on how to become a team manual osteopath. TFC has a chiropractor, registered massage therapist, physiotherapists, physician and athletic therapist. But they do not have a manual osteopath yet.
Alumni, you should approach TFC to become their chosen manual osteopath.

A Post by Nichelle
Certified athletic therapist Nichelle Thomson is an exceptional athlete who has won a number of beauty pageants in Canada, including the 2012 Miss North Ontario Pageant and best talent Miss Teen Canada World 2012. Below is a post she wrote on why she chose to study at NAO:
For me, it's all about quality over quantity. National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO), is the only school world-wide that offers manual osteopathy in six months, five days a week, for students with prior health backgrounds. During these six months, we practice hands-on techniques daily. Since I am primarily a hands-on learner, this aspect was very important to me and made NAO stand out.
Although everyone's way of learning is different and some may prefer to go to school once a month for three to five years, for me, NAO's method of delivery suited my academic needs more effectively. Not to mention NAO's extensive business lectures! This alone puts NAO above every other school as no one else offers business lectures on how to run a successful practice/clinic. And who better to learn it from than from someone how has actually done it themselves!
After watching over 160 of Dr. Pourgol's business and ethics lecture videos, I have exemplary confidence and I know I will continue to expand on the knowledge he has taught me. I am no longer intimidated by the thought of running my own clinic(s).
When someone can manage to successfully combine both therapeutic skills and business smarts in one program, you create highly competent practitioners who can better serve the public. And for this I will be forever grateful. Thank you NAO! Thank you Dr. Pourgol!

The Coalition Meeting was a Success!
We had a great meeting today. I wish to thank Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) and all other organizations that attended the first public meeting of the Coalition for the Regulation of Manual Osteopathy in Ontario (CRMOO). I am grateful that so many professionals took time off their busy schedule to attend this meeting.
It was a productive meeting and a start towards getting everyone on board in our work to get the profession regulated in Ontario. The response from attendees was great and they showed their appreciation to the Coalition for setting up this meeting.
