I miss my mother!

I am 51 years old but still miss my mom when she leaves Canada to visit Rasht.
She is kind, and one of the best human being I have ever seen.
Her heart is pure and she helps so many people. I am so lucky to have her as my mother.
Thank you mom. I love you with all my heart.

Could I ask you for a favor?

You most likely know that manual osteopathy offers one of the best treatments available for chronic pain. However most people do not know we do miracles in treating chronic pain. I want to change that. I want everyone to know we are the best choice available for chronic pain management.

I am asking and hoping that you would share the following on your own Facebook page to inform your friends about manual osteopathy. Many thanks and I do appreciate your help.

Osteopathy Patient Retention Rate

You should routinely increase your fees

When I started my practice in 1995 I was charging $20 per session. Later I increased it to $250 per hour, and then $1000 per hour. In most jurisdictions health professionals charge what they believe they are worth, not because of a specific technique they do, a modality they have or the location. People charge based on the value they provide.

My hourly fee was $1000 because I felt I was worth that much and I had patients fly from Portugal and elsewhere to visit me.

I know this is not for everyone. It requires special marketing and promotion skills to make it happen. However I believe all health professionals must routinely increase their fees, at the least by 3% a year to surpass inflation.

Otherwise the $100 one charges per hour in 2018 will be worth about $98 in 2019 and therefore your real rate will be lower next year if you do not match the inflation.

If you have a fully booked practice you should increase your rate by 10% to 20% a year at the minimum. This is the easiest way to increase your income. Your expenses remain the same and the extra income is profit.

I recommend you invest the extra income in Exchange Traded Fund. Do not invest it in managed mutual funds however as up to 70% of the interest you receive will be taken by the management fees and taxes.

And as always do not forget to give 10% of your income to charity.

My Research Paper

I am proud to announce that I had the honour of co-authoring a research paper with four top researchers, including the world's most famous osteopathic researcher, Dr Bruno Bordoni, DPT, DO, PhD.

The research paper is titled: "The influence of breathing on the central nervous system".

It is known that the diaphragm can have multiple uses in improving chronic diseases. The respiratory rhythm directly and indirectly affects the central nervous system. The ability of the breath to move the brain mass and determine patterns of neural oscillation will be discussed. The role of the diaphragm in influencing motor expression and its effect on intracranial blood shifts in respiratory activity will also be discussed. This paper describes and reviews these influences.

Suffering from Chronic Pain? We can help.

Did you know manual osteopathy offers one of the best treatments available for chronic pain?
A study done at University of Texas showed 50% of people with chronic back pain fully recovered with just six osteopathic treatments.

We do what seems like miracles on a daily basis. Many of the cases we see are last resort cases who had years of unsuccessful treatments. If you have chronic pain, if no other treatments have helped you, give us a try. You can live pain free through manual osteopathy.

We specialize in helping people with chronic pain in their joints, bones, nerves and muscles, such as pain in back, neck, knees, shoulders, hips, jaws, elbows and feet.

With 176 clinics in Canada, US and elsewhere, we are the largest chronic pain clinic in the world. All our manual osteopaths are licensed chronic pain specialists who have taken a postgraduate fellowship program in chronic pain management.

Osteopathy, founded in USA over 140 years ago, offers hands-on treatments that are gentle, safe, pain free and last about one hour on average.

In Canada most private health insurers cover osteopathic care provided by our manual osteopaths. In US and other countries there is no insurance coverage for manual osteopathy. Treatment fees vary in each clinic.

To find a clinic nearest you please visit www.osteopathypainclinic.com. To make an appointment with one of our chronic pain specialists please contact the practitioner directly.
