An Important Asset


One of the most important assets in your business is “The List”. Do you have a list? If not, you are missing out on a great way to build up your practice. 

The list is a database of names and email addresses of potential clients for your clinic. 

Many people will not use your services for variety of reasons such as not having pain, not having money, etc. However those who may use your services (potential clients) on average need to see/read your message 5 times before deciding to use your services. And the list gives you this opportunity to introduce your unique selling proposition (USP) to them over and over on a regular basis.

There are many companies who rely solely on the list to generate income. It is that important. 

Compiling a list is time consuming and cannot be done quickly. It takes time and patience. But you must do it for many years and continue to build on your list of potential clients.

An easy way to build your list is to offer something for free to your target market. Large multi-million dollar companies offer free sample products. You, as a manual osteopath do not have such budget. You should offer free information, such as a guide to so and so, how to so and so. An e-book, newsletter, information video, etc. is what most businesses use. 

Once you compile a list, on a regular intervals (weekly or bi-weekly or monthly) you send an email to your list with an offer exclusive to them. You build a relationship this way with those on the list. The list screens those who are not interested in your services, so you can spend your time and energy on those who can become one of your clients.

So, get the list! It is one of the most valued assets of many businesses.
