My New Home in Panama City, Panama

One of the things I love about working at the National University of Medical Sciences admissions office in Panama is that it takes me less than 5 minutes of walking to get to the office from my home. I do not need to drive to work and this is such a bonus for me.

It reminds me of the city of Rasht where my dad would come home for lunch from work. It would take him just 10 minutes.

Today was the first time in 2 weeks that I moved to this condo, I got the chance to take some photos on the balcony. I love the view. I see the water, the city, the old town, the marina, the president of Panama's building next door, and some islands and mountains near the city. The view has everything in it. It really is a part of heaven.

Panamanians however love their cars and drive everywhere. They do not like to walk much and that is why there is so much traffic here. One time I was in my lawyer's office and we both had to go to NUMSS office. He took his car and I walked. From his office it took me 10 minutes and it took him 30 minutes!

Panama City is one of the only places in the world that when you check distances on Google Map, the walking is usually faster than driving!
