Palm trees in Switzerland?

Palm trees were brought to Switzerland in 17th and 18th century and were planted in public gardens. However the seeds somehow travelled to nearby forests and now some large sections of the forest have palm and other tropical plants!!

It is such a contrast to see palm trees growing in people's home here in Switzerland.

Other unrelated facts: Switzerland has the only square flag in the world! Also it is the only country in the world where there is a shelter against nuclear attack for all its citizens, 8.5 million shelters! Every community by law must make sure they have enough shelters for its people. Also all the incoming bridges, and roads to the country have bombs planted in them. In case of an invasion, the bombs will explode and the country will become fully isolated and like a fortress. Last fact: aside from free healthcare and education, they also have free medication (they only pay 10% of the drug fees). Switzerland takes care of its citizens.
